For me, alot was lost over the last 6 months. For the most part, I played this game simply for the love of Star Wars. The biggest reason I stayed on, even as people left, is that no matter how crappy the game got, I could still have fun with my friends in game, even if what we were doing was painfully boring.

For PvP, the fun was in the fight you were having and more importantly, the people you were fighting besides. Going all the way back to the Kauri days, PvP was always fun, even when we werent winning, because of the folks I was with. Never too serious... When we came to bloodfin, the biggest culture shock for me was how serious the Vents were during PvP... Which is why we basically stayed in our own vent, laughing, joking, drinking... blah blah blah. When we went Reb here, it was refreshing because the rebels we were fighitng with seemed to have the same attitude. Our vent was a party all the time, even during fights...

Some of us took breaks back in April/ May 09 and when we came back, things were a little different. Everything seemed so serious. At one point I was told to stop laughing during PvP... In my own vent... LOL. Group makeups, Profession choices and even playstyle became the subject of debate, sometimes heated enough that feelings were hurt, friendships were strained and on top of it all, the game pretty much sucked along with PvP, always the saving grace for me, being mediocre at best, Yes, all this "Awesome PvP" over my final months was crap!

It simply became a point where there was no desire to log in, and the nights I was logged in, there was no joy in playing against my friends who were left.

By the way, my comments are directed at no one in particular in any way shape or form. That is just my opinion and the reasons the game basically died for me. Yes, I had 10 free minutes today at work!

EA is too be feared, but Bio-Ware is tough enough to whether their BS (EA). Time will tell...... as for STO online-- I think it will be a definite go as far as a space sim--the rest of the game I'm not so sure about.

Well it looks as if the last of Kauri will finally be done with this game... Hey Alerius if u pay for a month of STO I'll pay for a month of TOR LOL
